In 1925, Gandhi wrote the following words:

I find a solace in the Bhagavad Gita that I miss even in The Sermon On The Mount. When disappointment stares me in the face, and all alone I see not one ray of light, I go back to the Bhagavad Gita. I find a verse here and a verse there, and I immediately begin to smile in the midst of overwhelming tragedies. My life has been full of external tragedies. If they have left no visible, no indelible scar on me, I owe it all to the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita.

This is the blog wing of niklist.art. The intention is to share the tools and texts that have helped me along the way. My hope is that they help others. This platform provides a haven for travelers. An online chapel to rest, meditate, contemplate.

THE URL

The Kingdom Within refers to self-exploration. Our culture conditions us to seek happiness in the 10,000 things of the material world — food, phones, products, substances, objective experiences. How is that working out for you? Once you drop that endless pursuit, new questions arise. Who am I? The journey inward now begins.

THE CARDS

These are quotes and excerpts from various reading, videos, and podcasts. I curate these and provide the links to the sources when possible.

TOOLBOX

The tags organize this content by theme, depending on the issues you wish to explore: compassion, judgment, creativity, etc.

NUGGETS

These are short posts that I pen. For my books, head over to https://niklist.art/books/. You can also check out my Substack here

HOMEPAGE

The homepage sliders present random quotes. You can use this as a quick tarot reading or something in the spirit of Brian Eno’s Oblique Strategies. Refresh the page to get another spread.

NEWSLETTER

Newsletters are sent out on a monthly or bi-monthly basis with latest releases and fun food for thought.

There is no commercial endeavor here. The extensions of this blog are ‘.blog’ and ‘.art’, not ‘.com’. I believe that the internet has more potential than fans, likes, and selling shit.

Everyone knows that the drop merges into the ocean. Few people know that the ocean merges into the drop. Just remember to take it one breath at a time.

Peace.
